ALEF Fund

What is ALEF?
The ALEF Fund is a student scholarship organization created by the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta in response to 2008 Georgia legislation. The fund allows Georgia taxpayers to apply for a tax credit that is a WIN-WIN-WIN-WIN for Jewish Education and for you!
  • Win #1 – Contributing to ALEF lowers your Georgia income tax obligation. It’s a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit.
  • Win #2 – The funds are redirected to scholarships for students at participating ALEF schools. You get to designate which school will receive your contribution! This is a great way to help Temima.
  • Win #3 -- Many contributors who itemize can also take a charitable deduction on their federal tax return.
  • Win #4 – The mitzvah of providing scholarship funds to hundreds of deserving students each year.  Since its inception, ALEF has raised more than $17.4 million for scholarships.
